View From the Lake

This was taken in early May, 2004. Our small dock is visible on the left, as is our canoe. The boat is not visible because the photo was taken from the boat. Our "lawn" is the area between the cottage and the lake. It gets cut often enough to discourage trees and bushes, and we have made a modest attempt to have a few flowers. I have no intention of having a place in the country where I spend all of my time doing city gardening.

The cottage is reasonably isolated, but we do have neighbors on one side. The photo below has captions added to show the location of our neighbors and the small park. The park is only for those residents of our local community who do not have direct water access. In a freehold setting it would be called the deeded access park.
