On-Going Transformation The photographs present nearly comparable views of the cottage. The upper photo shows the cottage as it was when we purchased it in October, 2000. The lower photo shows the cottage in June, 2003. The effect of clearing out some of the trees is quite visible. The child's tree house, on the right side of the photo, is gone, including the trees which supported it. The space under the cottage has been enclosed, and insulated. The deck now wraps around the cottage and has steps leading directly to the ground. We have added windows just below the roof and replaced the windows looking out on the lake. And we have installed comfortable chairs, and a dining table, for use on the deck.
